Migration
Your records move with you.
Send your spreadsheets or pedigree database export as they are. I map them with you, import everything and check the totals, and your members get an invite once you have reviewed your records.

Before the switch
Moving your registry to new software, on your board's date.
Your board approves the switch date. Until then, your old system keeps working, so registrations do not wait on the import.
After the switch, you can keep the old system read-only until your board is confident.
- Export and field map
- First import and your review
- The switch date your board approves
- Member invites
What comes across
What comes across.
Members, renewal dates, animals and parents, your website's pages and posts, and the applications still open. Payment history stays in the tool you used.
| From | What comes across | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Spreadsheets | Members, renewal dates, animals | Your columns; I map them with you |
| Pedigree databases | Animals and parents | Moved with you, field by field |
| Website builders | Pages and posts | Rebuilt in the block editor with you |
| Email and paper | Open applications and recent decisions | Entered with you, oldest first |
| Payment tools | Payment history is not imported; your old records stay in the tool you used | New payments run through your club’s own Stripe account |
Formats
What to send.
You send what you have, in any format. Send it as it is: most records are messy, and I agree with you on how to handle duplicates and missing parents before anything is imported.
- A spreadsheet of members and renewal dates
- A spreadsheet or pedigree database export of animals and parents
- The pages and posts of your current website
- Open applications and recent decisions, from email or paper
| Your column | Mapped to |
|---|---|
| Reg No | Registration number |
| DOB | Date of birth |
| Sire | Sire name |
| Dam | Dam name |
| Colour | Color |
| Old notes | Not mapped |
The steps
Five steps.
Export
You send what you have, in any format.
Map
I map every field and agree on it with you.
Import
I import everything and check the totals.
Review
You look over your records and tell me what to fix.
Invite
Members get an invite to claim their account.
Timeline
Weeks, not months.
Most of the time goes into agreeing on the field map.
- Export and field map
- Full import and a check of the totals
- Your review, then member invites
Who does the work
Who does what.
I run your migration. Your side needs one person who knows your records and can answer questions about them.
- I map, import and check
- You export and review your records
- Your board approves the switch date
Cost
What a move costs.
Moving your records is currently free, and I do it with you. Plans are priced per club or registry, never per member. See pricing.
Afterwards
What your club keeps.
Here is what your club keeps after the move. Read about data governance.
- Your admin can export selected roster members and the registration queue as CSV
- New payments run through your club’s own Stripe account
- Your old payment records stay in the tool you used
