Data governance
Your club decides what the public sees.
Your club decides whether it has a public registry. Where it is public, members choose Private or Public when they register an animal. Roles decide who can change what, and registrar decisions and member record changes are recorded with who made them and when.
Roles
Four views of the same record.
Anyone
Sees what your club shows in its public registry, and the verify page for a certificate.
Signed in
Sees what your club shares with members, and their own records where your club turns that on.
Keeps the studbook
Reviews registrations with what review needs: the request, its photos and its history.
Runs the club
Manages members, dues, settings and roles, and sees the audit history.
Audit trail
Registrar decisions, with a name and a date.
Registrar decisions and member record changes are recorded with who made them and when. Not every edit is logged.
- Reasons required to reject, revoke, reissue or grant a designation
- Kept when board members change
Data export
Exports your admins can run.
Admins can export selected roster members and the registration queue as CSV. Where your club turns on member animals, each member can export their own animals.
- Roster members as CSV
- The registration queue as CSV
- A member’s own animals, where your club allows it
Ownership
Your club owns its records.
Owned by the club
Records belong to your organization, not to the volunteer who entered them or to Breed Ledger.
Used for your club
Your data runs your club. It is not sold, and it is shared only with the services that run Breed Ledger, listed on the subprocessors page.
